‘WHO WANTS TO MARRY MY SON?’ RETURNS TO CUATRO ON SEPTEMBER 9

Five elegible bachelors ready to find love with the help of their demanding mothers

One of Cuatro's most iconic formats returns: 'Who Wants to Marry My Son?', an iconic dating show presented by Luján Argüelles in which five mothers will guide their respective sons on an exciting adventure: finding their ideal partner among a group of candidates who aspire to win their hearts.

In the sixth season of the programme, which the network will premiere on Monday, September 9, starting at 10:50 PM, sons and mothers will star in an experience filled with hopes, emotions, secrets, surprises, and the occasional disappointment, in which they will test the strength of the mother-child bond and discover unknown aspects and behaviours.

Luján Argüelles will once again lead the dating show, produced in collaboration with Warner Bros. ITVP Spain, guiding the protagonists through the intricate paths of love to help them unleash their feelings and passions while getting fully involved in their stories. At times, she will be the bearer of news (some good and some not so good), and at other moments, she will reveal unexpected decisions and information that could radically change some budding relationships. All of this in an environment where secrets, lies, and confessions will be the order of the day.

The presenter explains that “the protagonists are young people of today with the freedom and customs of the 21st century, and it’s incredibly fun to accompany them in their romantic pursuits,” while she admires the charisma of the mothers. “The presence of the mothers and sharing an adventure like this is one of the most magical and entertaining experiences I've had on television. They are authentic, assertive, real, and brave. They help their children with something as important as finding love, but they quickly show their claws if they sense the slightest danger. They also want to have their say, impose themselves, prevent their children from making mistakes, and correct them if they think they are wrong. They are like volcanoes, and that's why the show is so vibrant.
